Welcome to Fueling for Fitness!

I started this blog in early 2010 as a place to help keep track of my training/workouts and share the recipes to my kitchen experiments. Since then it’s evolved into a place where I occasionally post my thoughts on food and workouts.

If you’re looking for a daily tracker of eats and workouts, you won’t find that here.

Things you will find or notice here:

  • I take photos indoors – usually at night….especially food-related ones. I know, it’s very scandalous.
  • I don’t have a fancypants camera. Sometimes I take photos with my iPhone … and then I further this sacrilege by posting these “low quality” photos on the blog.
  • I live downtown in the city. I don’t have a house, a garden, a car, a dishwasher, or a backyard. I do have a lively neighbourhood, 24-hour access to pretty much all amenities (because yes, what *if* I needed to buy a toothbrush at 4am!?) and a bike. I walk or bike everywhere, avoiding cars and the subway where possible.
  • I have a day job, which frequently translates into “and night job”. I’m working on that.
  • I don’t like sitting in front of the computer. I’d rather be outdoors.
  • I love to cook and bake. I don’t follow recipes and as a result, only half of what I make would be considered edible to another person. I have a thing against wasting food though, so I usually eat it and convince myself it’s delicious.
