I didn’t mean to leave you hanging after the last post, but I have a really good reason for my silence. The truth is that I needed some time to unplug from all areas of my life and take a vacation. I’m not going to lie, it was pretty fabulous. My plan was to spend two weeks in Spain. What? Where? When? How? Yeah, aside from the when, and a few vague ideas of cities I wanted to visit, I tried to avoid planning out my trip too much. Travelling without a set schedule may not float everyone’s boat, but I even needed to take a vacation from planning. I make plans pretty much every day of my life, so it was really important to me to just go with the flow. Anyway, my sister who was not keen on my plan to travel without a plan, forced me to structure the first part of my trip to an extent. I’m sure she wasn’t too impressed with all the shrugging I did during the first part of my trip. She stayed with me for the first half of my trip and then I was on my own for the last half. Remember what I said about travelling without a plan? Somehow I found myself in Portugal. It was the best decision of my entire trip.
And the food? Delicious and insanely affordable. Just the way I like it.
While I actually got back last Saturday (March 26), I came back with a nasty cold that left me out of commission for the better part of this week. I’ve got a hoarse voice to prove it.
Don’t worry though, I’ve got some delicious recipes coming your way and a few plans for the future of FF in the works for this year.
